Submit Your Travel Literature Review

Have you read a work of travel literature that you feel passionate about? We’d love to publish your review! Submitting a review is simple, just email it to us.

Here are some tips for writing a review that we’re likely to publish:

When writing your review, start with an overview of the book, both the narrative and the author’s writing style. Don’t be afraid to criticize a book! Just be sure you are able to defend your position. In general, it’s best not to include too many lengthy quotations. Doing so would be akin to a movie trailer that showcased all the best parts, leaving nothing to be discovered when you actually show up at the theater! Be sure to carefully check any quotations you do include for accuracy. At the end of your review, be sure you sum up your opinion of the book in one or two sentences.

We’re looking for reviews that are between 300 and 700 words, although we’ll consider a review as long as 1200 words. When you submit your review, do not include it as an attachment. Just copy and paste your review directly into the body of the email. Also include your full name, a link to your website (optional), a photo of yourself (optional), and two sentences about yourself. Your name, photo, website and bio will be published with your review.

Once we’ve received your review, we’ll read what you have written carefully. We may edit it for clarity, and to correct any grammar or spelling errors. However, please do your best to submit something that is free from grammatical mistakes. If there are any problems, we’ll contact you via the email you used to submit the review to us.
